Pafilia has announced that it has designed and donated plants and materials to the sum of €10,000 for a Municipal Green area, near Latchi harbour. The company worked closely with the Polis Chrysochous Municipality on this now completed park area for the people of Latchi and visitors.

According to the Mayor of Polis Chrysochous, Angelos Odysseos, “I would like to give my thanks to Pafilia for creating this beautiful park in Latchi. As a company, Pafilia has invested a sizeable amount in Polis Chrysochous area over the last few years, not just in building villas and apartments, but in helping with our many cultural activities. We have established our area’s a reputation for artistic and cultural events and, with Pafilia’s support, we will continue to improve this."

Part of Pafilia’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, this announcement follows previous announcements, such as the donation of 200 car parking spaces to the people of Limassol and a pledge to the UNEP’s Billion Tree Campaign. The green area occupies around 900m2, featuring a large lawn to attract families with children, trees to create shade and architectural height and various items of interest, such as the river bed gravel that the company utilised for its very luxurious Amorosa Villast in Latchi. By using Mediterranean plants, there will be a minimum of water consumption and an automated irrigation system will ensure that a correct amount of water will be delivered. Also, all the plants have been selected to be resistant to damage by sea breezes due to the area’s close proximity to the sea.

Leading the project were the Pafilia Services team. Doros Theodorou, general manager of Pafilia Services explained, “We wanted to create a small attractive park that would be used by both locals and visitors. Once we had completed the design, the Municipality made it a reality. We oversaw the work, helping with the heavy earth moving and providing the plants and materials. May the people of Latchi have many years of enjoyment from the park.”
