About Telecoms & The Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (CYTA)

Cyprus enjoys modern and reasonably priced postal, telecommunications, Internet and satellite television services. Almost 250 countries and more than 95% of the world's telephones can be reached via the direct dialing network. Other telecommunications services include mobile telephones, text messaging (sms), pay-as-you-go mobile telephony, landline telephone cards, paging, datel, facsimile, radiotelegraph, telex, PSTN (56k), ISDN (64k and 128k), and ADSL (256k, 512k, and 1000k) services.

The standing charge for a landline is CYP 6.00 per month, plus call charges, which are significantly lower than those in the UK.

Landline telephony is served by the Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (CYTA). Mobile telephony is served by the Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (CYTA) and by Areeba.
