About Polis

Polis is a small seaside town located on the north-western tip of Cyprus in the Pafos District. Its full name is Polis Chrysochous, which means "Golden Town" in Greek. Sweeping flaxen bays contrast with azure blue waters and softly hued mountains, characterising the magnificent landscape unique to this part of the island.

Modern day Polis is set where the ancient city kingdom of Marion once flourished, and is now favoured by those seeking a relaxed lifestyle in stunning surroundings. The Polis area extends along the coast, beyond the town itself, and is dotted with picturesque fishing villages. The charming village of Argaka rests just outside Polis town, amidst unspoilt lush green hillsides, and the tranquil port of Latsi crowns a long sandy beach. This truly beautiful area is also valued for being within easy reach of the Akamas National Park, a vast area of innate splendour.
